How taking up a Hobby can make you a happier person ?

The day-to-day life of a woman is very tedious, full of monotonous activities . It is high time that she makes considerable efforts to revitalise her arduous life.  It is time that she takes up some hobbies which can help her shrug off the boredom in her life and add up to the happiness quotient. So, here are some suggested activities that women should consider to remain productive and feel self fulfilled about themselves.

 

Reading

Reading is like feeding the brain

Go out to the library or buy books of your favourite author from a bookstore. Or even if you don’t have one, get any book of the genre that you would like to read. Make a reading list. Someone has said,” Reading is to mind, what exercise is to body”. Reading broadens up your way of thinking and understanding of everything that’s going around in the outside world. You can learn and amuse yourself simultaneously. Research says that reading reduces stress levels and also helps to sleep soundly.

 

Writing

Writing is an outlet to happiness and contentment.

Start inking your thoughts. Let that world inside you which has always been under the shell of your mind, be alive. Well, the best way to express yourself is to write. Writing gives you an incredible power of self-expression. It’s the most productive thing that you can do in your spare time. Write down a poem, an essay, a story, a quotation or anything which interests you. It doesn’t matter what you write, what matters, is that you write. Pour down all your thoughts, desires and dreams.

 

Painting

Who doesn’t like colour. Pick up a paintbrush and start painting. Paint anything that suffice your soul. Painting allows you to flush out your thoughts and feelings to a more physical form. It’s like unleashing your creative side and mixing your perspective of seeing things with colour . Believe it, you’ll be deeply satisfied and happy when you see the finished painting in front of you. Moreover, it will beautifully decorate the walls of your house.

 

Gardening

What is more pleasant than to see a life evolve in front of your eyes? And it will give you inner peace as well when you take up a hobby like gardening. It will help you to channelize your soulful energies on one focussed platform. To see a plant grow in front of your eyes is like giving a soulful treat to yourself.

Kickstart your day with some yoga or some sport. Just start engaging your body in some physical activity. It will help you to remain healthy.  It is important to remove unwanted toxins out of your body. If you take up a sport; it will not only help you be physically fit but will also help in boosting your concentration levels. Sports, as an activity helps you focus and discard your inner anxiety by sweating on the field or the court. At the end of the day, you’ll feel happy as a lark!
