befikr.in Helping Indian Women To Be Truly Independent

Is there something which the Indian women still struggle with, in spite of them shining in most of the universal orbits of our society? While they are amazingly matching their skill as leading professionals in the marathon against the men, they are also the key stake holder in the matters of home and handling it very well! What pulls an Indian woman down at times is the silent struggle of finding a right handyman for her home service needs to keep her home as functional as she can.

Being a woman, it can get very difficult to run the house with problems like leaky pipe, open wires and non-working equipments. Have you ever tried looking for a serviceman near your home & realised that they are tough to find?  And even when you found one, realised that they were unprofessional, came at their own convenience and on top of it all, and charged a huge amount for the smallest things? Be it for fixing a flickering light, or repairing the unhinged door, or even ensuring that the rats & pests are away from home, it’s impossible to find reliable services around our homes.

To take care of this and much more for you, befikr.in is providing quality home services in India. With services in electric, plumbing, carpentry, pest management and home dry cleaning, the company started with Delhi NCR and is currently catering to Pune as well. Started by 3 friends in Jan 2016, befikr.in is has serviced more than 5,000 households and over 60% of their customers are women, and all of them are repeating customers. “We were surprised to see these statistics in our database. Our customers, especially women were coming back to us again and again for all their home service problems. We did a small research to understand why this was happening, and that they all loved how professional our team was in their behaviour and work. Guess all the training paid off,” says Sunny, the co-founder.

befikr.in is employing blue collared servicemen and helping them lead a respectful life by providing them fixed income job as a befikr brother. The company trains its servicemen in soft skills and behaviour apart from coaching them in their technical knowledge to ensure that the best customer service is provided. “We give a lot of importance to the experience a women customer has with us. That is what separates us from the others in the market. We ensure that our brother is ready to take care of a women’s home fikrs within 57 min of your call,” adds Sumit, the co-founder.

We spoke to their women customers to understand what they loved about befikr service, and Rashmi from Dwarka said, “I called up befikr at 10 in the night with a plumbing & sewage problem when no serviceman was available. In spite of being off duty, the customer care team promised to take care of my problem and ensured that a plumber came to my doorstep in less than 30 minutes in his uniform and ID card. I was very impressed with the fact that they serviced me so late in the night and solved everything.”

The residents at Tatvam villas, Sohna road are regular with befikr services. One of the residents, Ms Sarvjeet recently got her home dry cleaned from a befikr brother and had a feedback to share. “The servicemen were extremely professional in their work and took charge of cleaning the sofa as if it was their own. They were keen on doing a good job unlike the local bhaiyyas and put in extra efforts to make me smile.”

Feministaa wishes befikr.in best in their efforts to make Indian women independent!
