Winters are here! It’s a season of dry skin, rough hair and chapped lips. As temperature goes down so does your skin’s moisture. Cold air can result in devastating damage to your delicate skin and gorgeous hair. But you do not have to worry because we provide you with a list of various ways by which you can take care of yourself during winters.

Be KISS Ready 

This is the time when you have to take extra care of your lips. The frosty air snatches away the moisture from your lips leaving them chapped. You need to moisturize your lips with petroleum jelly or with flavoured lip balms available in the market.

Be SKIN Ready

Your facial skin gets most affected by the winter wind. Its time to pamper your skin. Just like you protect it from the scorching heat of the sun, your skin needs ultimate protection in the winter season. You can go the natural way as well by applying fresh cream extracted from milk along with honey to give it everyday glow and moisturising or use moisturizer enriched with Shea butter. Shea butter is said to be the skin’s best friend. It makes your skin soft, reduces wrinkles & heals skin cracks.

Be HAIR Ready

Dandruff on your hair scalp is a red alert. It is the first sign of weakness and an indication that winters have finally taken over your life. To get rid of dandruff, apply fresh lemon juice to your scalp and massage thereafter with hot oil.  The results are visible from the very first wash. Another way to get rid of dandruff is by applying coconut oil every alternate day to keep your dry scalp moisturised at all times.

Wear a scarf or a cap whenever you go outside in the cols as the wind might  make it dry. Do not wash your hair with extra hot water as it can strip away the moisture, making it dry. Lukewarm water is what you need to wash your hair with.

An eye infection is the last thing you would for your eyes this winters. Dryness in the air makes one quite vulnerable to small infections. To prevent your pretty hands to look like an old lady’s ugly hands, you need to keep these tips handy.  It time to embrace wipe-off, soap-free cleansers and alcohol-free hand sanitizers. Apply moisturisers after washing hands and even several times throughout a day. Wear rubber gloves while washing dishes to prevent the skin contact with hot water.

Use a mix of honey and sugar for dry elbows and knees as a scrub. The hot water shower seems to be very tempting on a cold day but keep your shower short and make sure that the water is not extra hot.
