Misho Designs’ Suhani Parekh Highlights the Essential Balance Between Passion and Identity.

Talking about creating ‘wearable art’, Suhani Parekh, founder, Misho Designs, calls her passion for jewelry ‘accidental’. But once you’ve found your passion, the idea is to work really hard; there is no real formula to success.

But as a global fashion entrepreneur, she has her head in the right place when she highlights the work-life balance in the conversation. She says it is important to remember, “it’s something that you are doing, it’s not who you are”.

Suhani is a trained sculptor and an alumna of Goldsmiths University, London. Whenever she wore her sculptors as jewellery, people would compliment and ask her to make similar for them.  From then on her brand was formed.

“The process for me is still quite similar. I feel like I am still making sculpture.”

Soon she was winning awards, from the Grazia Young Designer Awards to Elle Graduate’s Awards. This all opened up the avenue for her, providing a platform to showcase her work to the right people in the fashion industry.

But making it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 2018 actually gave her designs a wider platform, making it accessible to a larger audience.

Her global breakthrough came with making it to Vogue, and jewelry being flaunted by Kendall Jenner, Rihanna to Katy Perry, all of which made them a social media sensation!

She calls herself super fortunate to have been supported by amazing women wearing her jewellery.

The inspiration for her designs came from all around her, whether it is art, architecture, or even nature.

“Whenever you are looking at different forms, do sketches, play around with models, and that’s sort of how it comes about.
